Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 July, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information PinPosts collects when you visit this website, how it’s used, and the choices you have. By using PinPosts, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Log and usage data. Like most websites, PinPosts automatically collects certain information when you visit — including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring site, and approximate location (typically country or city level, not precise location). This is collected through Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

Cookies. PinPosts uses cookies small files stored on your device — for analytics and advertising purposes, described in more detail below.

Comments. If you leave a comment on a post, we collect the name, email address, and IP address you submit, along with a browser fingerprint (user agent string), to help detect spam. Your comment content and display name are shown publicly. If you use an email address associated with a Gravatar account, your Gravatar profile photo may appear next to your comment — Gravatar is a service operated by Automattic, and this happens automatically as part of WordPress’s built-in comment system.

Direct contact. If you email us at admin@pinposts.com, we receive whatever information you choose to include — typically your name, email address, and message.

2. Cookies and advertising (Google AdSense)

PinPosts uses Google AdSense to display ads. As part of this:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings or, for a broader opt-out across participating companies, www.aboutads.info/choices.

3. Google Analytics & Google Search Console

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use PinPosts (which pages are popular, how people navigate the site, etc.) and Google Search Console to monitor how the site performs in search results. Both are provided by Google and operate under Google’s own Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. How we use this information

We use the information above to: understand and improve the site and its content; measure which articles and topics readers actually want; serve relevant advertising; detect and prevent spam or abuse; and respond to messages sent to us directly.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers that help us run the site — currently Google (Analytics, Search Console, and AdSense) — solely to provide those services, and with Automattic (Gravatar) where applicable to comments.

6. Data retention

Comment data is retained as part of the public comment thread unless you request its removal. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings. Emails sent to us are kept as long as reasonably needed to address your message.

7. Your choices

You can: disable or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; opt out of personalized ads and analytics using the links in sections 2 and 3; and request that we remove a comment or any personal data you’ve sent us by emailing admin@pinposts.com. We’ll honor reasonable requests regardless of where you’re located.

8. Children’s privacy

PinPosts is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Third-party links

PinPosts may link to external websites. We aren’t responsible for the privacy practices or content of any site we don’t operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect as soon as they’re posted here, so please check back occasionally.
