The Relaxin jailbreak for iOS 17 is real, and a public beta is now available. Here’s everything confirmed so far, straight from the developers, plus the devices it currently works on.
What Is the Relaxin Jailbreak?
Relaxin is an iOS 17 jailbreak from OwnGoal Studio, led by developer Lakr233 and built with a small team that includes recognizable names from the jailbreak scene. It’s built on top of “Dopamine” — a well-known, respected jailbreak by developer opa334 — and its fork “RootHide,” which the Relaxin team credits directly on their own site. The name “Relaxin” was chosen specifically to avoid confusion with Dopamine, since it’s a separate release, not a new version of Dopamine itself.
Relaxin Jailbreak for iOS 17 — Timeline So Far
- Planning and naming confirmed: OwnGoal Studio announces the first beta is being planned, and confirms the tool will be renamed away from any “Dopamine” association at opa334’s request.
- Closed beta: Relaxin enters closed beta, limited to testers who qualify and contact the team directly.
- Public beta (current stage): The Relaxin jailbreak is now available to the public as a beta release, currently at version 0.3.8, listed directly on the official OwnGoal Studio site.
- Wider/stable release — expected August 8, 2026: OwnGoal Studio’s current estimate for a more complete release. Treat this as an estimate, not a locked date.
- Source code release — expected late August 2026: The team has said they plan to open-source Relaxin shortly after the wider release.

Which Devices Does the Relaxin Jailbreak Support?
Relaxin works on iOS 17.0 through 17.3.1, and right now it only works on newer iPhones with a security chip called SPTM. Here’s the list of iPhones that currently work with the Relaxin jailbreak:
- iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max
- iPhone SE (3rd generation)
- iPhone 14, 14 Plus
- iPhone 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max
- iPhone 15, 15 Plus

Older iPhones, like the iPhone 12 and earlier, are not supported yet. The team has said support for those older devices is planned for later, once this first release is stable.
Is Relaxin Jailbreak Available to Download Right Now?
Yes. A public beta is available directly from the official OwnGoal Studio site: relaxin.owngoal.dev, currently at version v0.3.8. That is the only place you should get it from.
Important: this jailbreak is meant for people who understand phones well, like developers and security researchers. It is for learning and testing purposes only. We do not recommend installing it on your main phone, the one you use every day for things like banking, messages, or photos. If you want to try it, use a spare or secondary device instead.
Now that the Relaxin jailbreak has a public beta, unofficial mirror sites have started appearing too, some of them honestly labeled as fan-run, others not. Even a mirror that’s upfront about being unofficial is still redistributing the file outside the developer’s own hands. Stick to the official link above rather than any third-party site, however trustworthy it looks.
Should You Install the Relaxin Jailbreak Public Beta?
That depends on your comfort level. A “beta” means the tool still has bugs and is not fully finished. If you’re comfortable troubleshooting a phone yourself and you’re using a secondary device, trying the Relaxin jailbreak beta is reasonable. If you’re not experienced with jailbreaking, or this would be your only phone, it’s safer to wait for the more stable release expected around August 8.
A Quick Note on Relaxin Jailbreak Risk
